2017-2018
L'Association canadienne de l'industrie de la langue a transmis à Infoterm son Rapport d’activité pour l’année écoulée (2017-2018), rapport qui a été préparé par Nicole Sévigny, responsable des relations en terminologie à l'Association canadienne de l'industrie de la langue.
Maryse Benhoff, chef de la délégation canadienne aux réunions annuelles de l’ISO TC 37 à Hangzhou, en Chine, l'a présenté au nom de l'Association canadienne de l'industrie de la langue à l’Assemblée générale d’Infoterm, qui s’est déroulée le mardi 12 juin 2018.

5.2.4 Canada AILIA (L’Association de l’industrie de la langue/Language Industry Association) submitted its Activity Report, highlighting Canadian initiatives of international scope which were launched over the past year and showcase the Canadian expertise in the field of terminology, such as:
- The Translation Bureau (Government of Canada) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) developed a fruitful partnership in which both organizations share their resources to establish terminology, for instance in the field of conversational interfaces,
- In 2016, the Translation Bureau and the Instituto Colombiano de Normas Técnicas y Certificación (ICONTEC) signed an agreement regarding the latter’s access to the internal terminology architecture of the Translation Bureau (TERMIUM® compartment).
- In 2016, the Translation Bureau and the Éditions Technique de l’Ingénieur signed an agreement regarding a limited sharing of their ressources (source material on the one hand, and terminological data citing this material on the other hand).
- The Translation Bureau continues its collaboration with the English Editorial Board of the Health Technology Assessment Glossary, coordinated by the Adelaide Health Technology Assessment (AHTA).
- In August 2016 and 2017, Professor Jean Quirion of the School of Translation and Interpretation of the University of Ottawa took students on a 13-day 500-km spin through Quebec as a fun, new way to teach his class on terminology, called Termino à vélo. They visited professional terminologists and translators in the mornings, then used the afternoons cycling to their next stop to reflect on what they had learned and to plan the next day’s visit. "Terminus Bicycling is an opportunity to bring students to professional language professionals to meet terminologists and translators and to see where they work, what they do and what tools they use”.

Nicole SévignyEn terminologie, les activités de l'Association canadienne de l'industrie de la langue s’appuient sur le réseautage et la participation active à nombre de comités et de tribunes dans le domaine.
Faits saillants (2016-2017) :
Conformément aux accords de réciprocité signés avec Infoterm et TermNet dans le cadre de son Programme d’échange d’adhésions :
- Infoterm (Centre international d’information pour la terminologie) qui a pour but de « susciter la coopération internationale en matière de terminologie et de la coordonner » (traduction). En juin 2017, l’AILIA a assisté à l’Assemblée générale que le Centre tient chaque année dans le cadre des Réunions annuelles du CT 37 de l’ISO; au cours de la période visée, celles-ci se sont déroulées à Vienne, en Autriche; suivant l’entente signée, l’AILIA a déposé son Rapport annuel d’activités, qui rend compte des réalisations du Canada dans le domaine de la terminologie et ce, sur la scène internationale. - TermNet (Réseau international de terminologie) qui offre à ses membres une plate-forme de coopération internationale grâce à l’organisation d’ateliers de formation, de conférences, d’activités conjointes, etc. En janvier 2017, l’AILIA a participé à la 28e Assemblée générale annuelle de TermNet, qui a pris place dans le cadre d’un webinaire à l’échelle de la planète et qui a porté sur l’année 2015. La prochaine Assemblée générale est prévue pour l’automne 2017 et rendra compte des activités menées par TermNet en 2016. Site web : http://www.termnet.org
- Participation active au CMTC (Comité mixte sur la terminologie au Canada) au fil de l’année écoulée.
