About The Role:

RWS is implementing large government technology contracts and is looking for a Solutions Consultant to join the team.  The position will work alongside other Solutions Consultants / business analysts. Your main tasks will include performing existing product demos, performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes and change requests to existing technology, performing user acceptance validation as well as end-user training. To succeed in this role you should have a solid understanding of translation processes, have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, schedule, implementations and deliver training and consulting services for new client TMS implementations and existing client upgrades / migrations. 

  • Assist clients resolving usage or process questions to ensure successful implementations / upgrades / migrations. 

  • Perform customer consultation regarding workflow re-engineering to optimize working processes and to produce system configuration proposals.

  • As a product expert, drive the technical analysis of customers’ business needs and system requirements and guide the sales team in developing the sales strategy/approach for the client.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through post implementation client follow-ups and consulting. 

  • Evaluate business processes, review delta with existing product functionality, anticipate requirements, and propose solutions to bridge the gap.

  • Deliver detailed product demos, drive meetings and presentations to demonstrate product capabilities, identify and document new requirements.

  • Perform requirements analysis.  Document, communicate and present the results of your analysis.

  • Work closely with clients, technical team, and managerial staff.

  • Execute internal user acceptance testing and drive external clients user acceptance testing.

  • Adapt to a fast-paced and changing technical environment.

  • Requires occasional travelling.

Requirements:

  • Computer Science Degree/Diploma or equivalent work experience or Translation/Localization degree with technical component or equivalent work experience.

  • Prefer experience in translation /localization systems support / implementation, software solutions consulting OR software systems business analysis. 

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

  • Excellent documentation skills, in English and French. French is not required but preferred. 

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Excellent problem solving skills 

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Advanced technical skills.

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technology quickly. 

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Needs to be eligible for Reliability security clearance from the Government of Canada.

Assets: 

  • Experience in using, implementing and/or supporting Translation Management Systems, ideally with MultiTrans or Studio technology but not required. 

  • Experience with translation / localization activities but not required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in French and English.
